Our DIY dog fence is available for Self-installation only. This tiny but highly innovative system is ideal for customers with up to an acre to “fence”. As with the Petsafe Dog Fence, it can be used to exclude your pet from crossing area such as driveways, pool areas or flower borders. Simple and quick to install but with all the features of our Professional dog fence systems.
Using our patented technology the DIY dog fence is light years in front of other brands. All containment fences use a radio signal and all brands inc PetSafe dog fences use an AM frequency. The DIY dog fence uses the patented Safelink FM signal. The signal is 15 times faster than any other dog fence worldwide; so less chance of your dog out-running the fence*
What is the Digitial Safelink FM?
Safelink is the FM signal used to power our DIY dog fence. This digital (DAB) signal offers a safer and faster operation. Safelink makes our systems the safest systems available worldwide. It also guarantees that nothing else will activate your pets computer collar. With other brands such as the Petsafe dog fence, or Invisible Fence household appliances can accidentally activate your pet’s collar.
With guaranteed no false activation on the computer collar and 15 times quicker than any other brand this means that our collars are significantly faster than the PetSafe dog fences and other AM brands. Fully CE & Vet Approved.
Please note that the DIY dog fence is not compatible with our Pro range fence systems: System 1200, Performance Series or Smart Fence).
How does the DIY Dog Fence Work?:
The dog fence DIY consists of a transmitter, a computer collar worn by the pet, the boundary wire and training flags. The transmitter has a total cable capacity of 1 acre equivalent to 300m boundary cable. The transmitter is usually placed in the dry and plugged into a standard socket. Although the transmitter is plugged into the socket the transmitter does not send out any electrical signals. Instead, the transmitter sends a coded FM radio signal around the boundary wire which 100% safe and harmless to you, your family, pet and wildlife.
The boundary wire can be placed above or below ground but it must start and end at the transmitter box (i.e form a continuous circuit). Full information on how to cross driveways etc is given with the fitting instructions. Unlike the PetSafe dog fence, the transmitter can be plugged in anywhere on your property and will not cause internal interference.
Smallest Computer collars worldwide!
The pet wears a computer collar which is programmed to pick up the radio signal. Our computer collars are the smallest available worldwide. Weighing in at just under 30g with the battery, they are suitable for all breeds of dogs and cats. When the pet enters the avoidance zone (area covered by the radio signal), the pet’s collar is activated. The collar emits a high pitched warning beep followed by a static stimulus (similar to a tens machine). Both the size of the avoidance zone and the stimulus can be altered to your pets requirements. With the use of some visual training flags, the pet quickly learns to stop before they enter the avoidance zone.
Dog fence DIY Computer Collar Features:
There are also safety features within the collar to prevent the pet from being over corrected. Once the pet is trained to the zone (training flags are provided with every system) he or she will know where the no area is and will rarely activate even the beep on the collar.
