On installation day, our Installer/Trainer works with you to finalise the best boundary cable route and locate a suitable power source for the DogFence transmitter. We are looking to give your pets maximum freedom but also maximize boundary cable damage. Using a discreet cable laying machine, we ensure minimal disruption to lawns and reduced cable damage. Cables are buried to a maximum of 6″. We can work with you if you have a robotic lawn mower to ensure that the two systems don’t conflict.

We use pro-grade heavy-duty cable, the highest spec in Europe, suitable for direct burial and UV stable for all weather conditions. Driveways receive careful treatment with minimal cuts and sealing. Our Installers arrive early to allow ample time for both installation and pet training later in the day.

Training your dog or cat to the pet fence

At DogFence, we offer personalized dog fence installation and training to suit your pet’s unique needs. Our expert installer/trainers assess your pet’s behaviour and set the training level accordingly. During installation, we consider external factors that may influence your pet’s behavior. Once installed, we will “flag” the boundary before commencing the training. We conduct individual training sessions with each pet, ensuring they understand the boundaries, using visual and verbal training. We will involve you in the training process to reinforce learning. Our gentle and effective training approach focuses on consistency and positive reinforcement. We’re always available to address any concerns you may have.

Your pet will need to monitored and kept on the lead for 3 -5 days post training but after this they will enjoy their new freedom 24/7 and you receive peace of mind knowing that they are safe.
